Unfortunately, we have been informed that Midsomer Norton Rugby Club cannot get a team for the upcoming season and therefore have dropped out. This takes us back to the dreaded thirteen team set-up again. The committee feel that its best to revert to the original plan with Mardons in Division Two. This means that division will have fewer byes and Division One takes the hit with more byes this time. We feel this is only fair as D2 has had to take the hit most of the times this setup has happened. There is still a small amount of time left before the league starts and so if you know of venue that may be thinking of joining a league, please ask them to get in touch.

We have clawed back a number of weeks since the lock-down and so we will be reintroducing the ‘Over 50s’ singles competition. We won’t have an ‘Under 25s’ but will instead have an ‘Everyone Else’ competition. These will be played on one night in two venues. We will also be introducing a new singles competition in memory of Carole White. This will be something slightly different and includes a best of 5 with different disciplines in each leg. We have not confirmed the exact format as yet but an example would be:

Leg One: Standard 501
Leg Two: 15 darts at treble 13s
Leg Three: Half-it starting on 100
Leg Four: 15 darts. 3 at 16s, 3 at 17s, 3 at 18s etc
Leg Five: 15 darts at 25s and Bull
